At 50, I was an exhausted single mother of two great kids with a demanding career as a university researcher, professor, and administrator. Pain and stress seemed velcroed to my body – I could not escape it. Not that I didn’t try! I knew something was wrong and I tried everything to fix it.
I knew things had to change and I set out on a path to immerse myself in healing rather than fixing.
Over the past 23+ years, my mission has been to support women like you in reconsidering conventional, but often ineffective, approaches to self-care. We women have been taught to fight aging and that approach so often backfires – it keeps us on the hamster wheel of repairing bodies we are told are broken.
My FierceOver50 approach draws on our innate, instinctual, self-healing powers, which have gone underground during these years when we focused on, perhaps, children, parents, jobs, and productivity.
